This is a bit of an outdated review but i would be surprised if the quality went down the slightest.
I lived just around the corner from this boulangerie from 2003 to 2007. Their bread and patisseries were always great. I have tried quite a few alternatives in the neighborhood; they all seemed to pale in comparison.
Don't the long Sunday morning line throw you off. It is worth it.
The only downside I can think of is that they were closed on Monday. However, hard work deserves a break. -

It used to be good in the past some years ago. It was then owned by the famous baker Dominique Saibron who probably made a lot of money by selling the name of the shop (he opened a new one in Alesia).
It's now catastrophic. Service is slow and disrespectful. Bread is quite average for the price. It has a fancy facade for tourists but real parisians go somewhere else! I used to line 20 minutes on Sunday morning to get bread there now it's the only one in the area where there is no line!
Another "good" point, at the end of the day all the bread left is given to charity. So you are making a good action by not buying from them! -

Yum! I first heard of this place through David Lebovitz's pastry app. The bakery was close to the apartment where I was staying so I popped in for a few mornings to pick up some croissants, pain au chocolate and other french breakfast breads. I loved that the bread was organic and while there were always people coming in and out, it was never super busy. I'd advise you to pop in if you're in the area.

Really good patisserie / bakery. The Opera cake was delicious! Highly recommended. (Sneaking off to Paris next weekend and wonder if I will be able to drop by and grab me a piece)

Yes, this is a small franchise chain of bread makers. Yet, the bread here is very good. Natural (Bio) ingredients.
My apartment is 5 streets from here, yet I pass by other bakeries to come here for a warm 4:00 pm baguette. The morning brioche made here is good also.
Is it sexist to mention that some of the prettiest young women I've seen in Paris work here?
